Victorian Humour
A common perception of the Victorian era is that people were all very proper and humourless. This could not be further from the truth. In fact with the myriad of landmines awaiting todays jokesters, comedy is no longer a laughing matter.
Trade cards were a precurser to business cards (remember those??). Often the images will seem completely unrelated to the business they are meant to represent. We have restored and improved illustrations from tradecards and reimagined them as postcards to offer a fun and unique way to connect with friends and family.Â
So take a trip through yesteryear and hopefully we can elicit a giggle or two.
