General Rules & Regulations

Our contests are meant to be fun and inclusive. We have included some general rules here to make sure there is no confusion.

1. The Contest

These Contest Rules apply to all contests of Strathcona 1890 Urban Seed Collections unless otherwise specified. 

2. Eligibility

The Contests are open to residents of Canada but excluding employees, directors and officers of Strathcona 1890 Urban Seed Collections and any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of Strathcona 1890 Urban Seed Collections and each of their, employees, directors and officers, and those of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members of any of the foregoing or those with whom they are domiciled, are not eligible to enter the Contest. (Since we are a very small family run business and we do all our own marketing & design, this roughly translates as: no one in our immediate family, or people we hire to help out and their immediate families, can compete as they might have an advantage.)

3. No Purchase Necessary - seriously, why would we require you to buy a product so we can give it to you.

4. How to Enter

Refer to individual contest promotions for specific instructions on how to enter each contest, the contest period, and how winners are selected. If you are confused, let us know so we can make sure the instructions are easy for everyone to follow.

5. Claiming a Prize

Entrants may be required to show valid identification when claiming a prize, and entrants who breach this condition of entry may be disqualified, to be determined at Strathcona 1890 Urban Seed Collections sole discretion. Seriously - we trust you, but what if someone else tries to claim your prize? Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are reproduced, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. But we trust none of you would ever do this. Decisions regarding prizing are final and the prizes must be accepted as awarded. The whole idea is to get you to try some of our products - that's why we give them as prizes.
